Latino Leaders magazine, which promotes and publishes stories of Latino success and influence in the United States, featured trustees Michael Huerta, Yvette Meléndez and Adalio T. Sanchez on its annual Latinos on Boards list.
In the list, Latino Leaders profiles Latinos serving on corporate boards of public and private companies within the parameter of the Fortune 1000 index. This year’s publication also featured an in-depth interview with Sanchez on the characteristics of successful board directors.
Both Meléndez and Sanchez joined MITRE’s Board of Trustees in 2018. Meléndez, a former healthcare policy executive, has over 30 years of experience leading state government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofits. Sanchez is a leader in information technology, specializing in hardware, software, semiconductors, data centers, cloud, and digital technologies.
Michael Huerta, a board member since 2023, brings decades of leadership in public and private sectors, advancing transportation systems' safety and efficiency through technology. He previously served as FAA Administrator and interim Secretary of Transportation.
