Nick Tsamis is a systems engineer who works to protect the world's critical infrastructure from emerging cyber threats. He has worked in the aerospace sector between commercial and government spaces, as both a safety and cybersecurity engineer, providing unique insights into the domain. His passion for protecting mission-critical systems drives his continuous promotion for the co-existence and cooperation between safety and security engineering principles.
Nick currently serves as Chief Engineer of Critical Infrastructure Assessments and Resiliency in MITRE’s Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center where he focuses on the science of adversary behavior and detection capabilities for critical infrastructure. He participates in industry working groups focused on progressing the state of cybersecurity within critical infrastructure and holds formal degrees in Computer Science and Aerospace Engineering.
