As shared micromobility (especially e-scooters) have become increasingly popular over the last few years, it is important to consider the challenges involved in their deployment. This paper details some of these challenges from a policy standpoint, including data issues, safety impacts, measurement issues, and harmonization, and provides recommendations for regulations that will support safe deployment.
