Radio Frequency Transmit Protocol: A Novel Approach Toward Scalable High-Bandwidth Digital RF Transmission

MITRE’s Radio Frequency Transmit Protocol (RFTP) is a novel technique that enables efficient, high-bandwidth, multi-channel heterogeneous transmit capability for next-generation software-defined radio (SDR) platforms—unlocking the full potential of extremely wideband military, aerospace, and commercial RF applications.

RFTP is an application layer protocol that facilitates adaptable data rate matching of heterogeneous systems (CPU, GPU, FPGA, etc.) with minimal complexity. Additionally, it is agnostic to transport layer, link layer, and data rate. RFTP is the solution to System-on-Chip (SoC) and System-in-Package (SiP)-based SDR platforms.
