MITRE's Federated Analysis of Cyber Threats, or FACT, explores the exchange of cyber threat intelligence developed from cyber incident analysis and response. This includes: exchange of threat indicators and adversary TTPs among mission partners; cyber incident reporting; mitigation best practices released to acquisition organizations; and distribution of cyber playbook and mission model data. FACT imports and exports cyber threat intelligence in STIX, an industry-standard XML format. Several MITRE-developed tools are integrated into FACT, including CRITS (Collaborative Research into Threats), CyCS (Cyber Command System), and TARA (Threat Remediation and Analysis).
