In today’s digital age, the cloud is more than just data storage—it's the front line of America’s cyber defense. As this grand “Cloud Computing” experiment unfolds in massive data centers worldwide, the United States faces a new kind of battleground where critical infrastructure lies beyond traditional government control. Yet, in this shared responsibility model, CSPs hold a game-changing advantage: the ability to spot and forecast cyber threats. Enter the National Cyber Feed (NCF)—a visionary public-private partnership that leverages volunteer data from CSPs to create a real-time, high-value security feed.

The NCF Implementation Plan proposes the creation of an Independent 3rd Party Fusion Organization, working alongside a National Cyber Coach to unify industry and government efforts. This collaboration ensures the secure collection, aggregation, and analysis of cyber threat data, enabling faster and smarter responses to adversaries. With a three-phase strategy, backed by Congress, the plan aims to kickstart a pilot program that brings together the best of government and industry, driving a united front in cyber defense.
