Characterization of Current Efforts to Understand (D)egree and (E)ffect of Mis/Disinformation
This paper provides a snapshot of the issues pertinent to determining the degree and effect of mis/disinformation, the range of on- and off-platform interventions currently available to prevent or respond to online mis/disinformation, and a view of the policy options and considerations essential in the US context.
The set of recommendations and resources provided in this paper is intended to orient Aspen Institute Commissioners to viable paths forward in establishing cross-sector priority areas for collaboration.
