Remembering Kaiyan Mao

McLean, Va., Feb. 3, 2025—“Our dedicated colleague, Kaiyan Mao, was among those who lost their lives in the mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport on Wednesday evening,” said Mark Peters, president and CEO, MITRE. “Kaiyan joined MITRE in 2018 as a member of the Finance team. She made a lasting impact through her contributions and consistently brought a positive attitude and enabled a culture of collaboration. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm for helping others – a presence that will be sorely missed. Our hearts are with her family and friends at this tragic time.”
