WashingtonExec: Clancy Named a Climate Change Exec to Watch in 2022

WashingtonExec has named Charles Clancy, MITRE senior vice president, general manager, MITRE Labs, and chief futurist, to its annual Climate Change Execs to Watch list, along with nine other executives.

The list honors industry leaders who are “dedicated to and focused on creating solutions to help combat the climate crisis, building sustainable infrastructures, making geospatial data more accessible, and applying their environmental science expertise.”

Over the past year, MITRE Labs has placed significant emphasis on climate and resiliency work, while MITRE’s climate support to sponsors has grown by over 500%.

“Climate-related events are increasingly impacting our nation’s security and stability, while also increasing the potential for conflicts across socioeconomic, environmental, military and technological domains,” Clancy said in the article. “Every corner of the world is threatened by climate change—especially socially and economically disadvantaged communities. It’s important we get this right.”
