MITRE Rated One of Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT for Fourth Year in a Row

MITRE was named one of Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT for 2021. This is the 13th time MITRE has been included on the list, and the fourth year in a row.

The annual list is compiled based on a company survey of salary, benefits, career development, training, and retention. An employee survey on satisfaction, compensation, benefits, morale, and other key indicators is also used to rank organizations and compile the list.

John A. Wilson, MITRE’s vice president of the Enterprise Computing, Information, and Security (ECIS) Center and chief information and security officer says MITRE’s focus on innovation not only enables the organization to deliver to government sponsors, but is key to attracting and retaining IT talent, and is one reason why MITRE is recognized as a best place to work in IT.

“There's always been a focus on innovation to enable MITRE to deliver to sponsors. The reason why we were well positioned this past year was the forcing function of COVID-19 that required us to accelerate that innovation more than usual,” Wilson says.

Along with our overall ranking among the top 100, MITRE placed third in the category of Top 10 for Benefits.
