MITRE has been named to the 2021 Top Supporters of HBCU (historically Black colleges and universities) Engineering Programs by U.S. Black Engineer and Information Technology magazine. MITRE was ranked #5, and is including for the third year in a row.

USBE surveys the deans of HBCU engineering programs to create the list. MITRE is a key partner in many organizations and efforts that support and advance African Americans in STEM.

“This past year was critical when it comes to the underserved communities staying connected through STEM,” said Tyrone Taborn, CEO of Career Communications Group, publisher of USBE magazine, and co-host of the BEYA STEM Conference. “These supporters have gone above and beyond to help solidify the school-to-career pipeline within the HBCUs and the companies that are seeking top talent.”
