Forbes, the global business magazine, has named MITRE’s Kathleen Federico to its “50 Over 50” list of innovators. The class of 2023 showcases women who have excelled in the "age of disruption" and advanced STEM and innovation. Federico, senior vice president, chief people, brand, and communications officer, joins with other CEOs and innovators in quantum, bio tech, energy, and higher education in making the elite list.
Now in its third year, the list is curated in partnership with Mika Brzezinksi, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and founder of Know Your Value, a digital platform and community fostering gender equality in the workplace.
The panel selected Federico for “driving the culture at MITRE” and “providing opportunity, innovation and inclusion efforts for employees and growing [MITRE’s] talent base.”
“We're so proud of Kathleen and her leadership in building innovative leaders of the future,” said Jason Providakes, Ph.D., president and CEO, MITRE. “She has helped to transform MITRE’S culture, strengthening our brand and reputation in the process.”
Federico is helping transform MITRE’s culture and leadership engagement for all managers—from junior leaders to senior vice presidents. MITRE's Leaders of the Future program fosters an inclusive environment to unlock the collective potential of our diverse, exceptional talent. Federico joined MITRE in 2018 and was recently named Chief Human Resource Officer of the Year–Non-profit by HRO Today.
