Finance & Investing ranked Wilson Wang, senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer, MITRE, #6 in its list of the top 25 CFOs in the greater Washington, DC area. The media outlet cited Wang as “a strategic adviser and thought leader for the organization, advising on building new capabilities and business models to better empower the company to engage with private industry, alongside government, in addressing public challenges.”
Although operating as a non-profit, MITRE is using innovative financial strategies, developed by Wang and his team, to invest in new partnerships with industry and academia and develop public-private licensing agreements and technology transfer. As a connector between government and industry, we want to make it easier for companies to bring their innovations to the federal government.
